The DASFAF Network (Developments and Applications in Supercritical
Fluids in Agriculture and Fisheries) is a project funding by the European Community
specific programme for research technological development and demonstration in the field
of Agriculture and Fisheries, where 25 organisations (Universities, Research Centres and
SME) participated, and AINIA co-ordinated. The DASFAF Network will enhance current
knowledge of Supercritical Fluids (SF) in the food sector and related industries. The main
objectives of this network are: To promote SF technology in universities, research centres
and enterprises working in this sector. To evaluate immediate and future applications, and
to transfer knowledge to small and medium size companies. To set-up long-term projects.
The co-ordinated action proposed in the network is divided in four areas: Basic principles
of SF. Extractive applications of SF. Non extractive applications of SF. Industrial
aspects.
